Last Chance Forever Releases Eagle
In May, a golden eagle was found injured near Lake Palestine by Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden Chris Greene. It was brought to local veterinarian Steve Wilson and rehabilitator Beverly Grage for initial emergency care. They stabilized the bird, but it was still not standing well or eating on its own. Last Chance Forever was called to take over the bird's care.

At LCF, Dr. Melissa Hill and John Karger determined that the bird had electrocuted. Among its injuries were burns on its feet and an exit mark in the wing. We are happy to announce that this eagle was released on May 26, 2006 near where it was found, in a celebration of all its rescuers.
